Benjamin Roos, Psy.D.
Staff Psychologist
Dr. Benjamin Roos received his undergraduate degree in psychology from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He completed his Psy.D. in clinical psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his internship and postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at Utah State Hospital in Provo, Utah. After he became licensed in Utah, he became a staff clinical psychologist at Utah State Hospital and went into private practice.
Dr. Roos is a clinical psychologist licensed in both California (PSY33538) and Utah (UT 11421644-2501). He has broad clinical skills in treating a wide range of conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), psychotic disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Dr. Roos is an important member of the Arroyos interdisciplinary treatment team. He provides individual and group psychotherapy as well as psychological assessment and testing. He incorporates the following types of therapy in his work with patients: cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), neurocognitive remediation, compassion-focused therapy, and recovery-oriented cognitive therapy. He conducts a wide variety of psychological testing to address issues related to ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, specific learning disorders, cognitive impairment, and other related concerns.
Dr. Roos enjoys working with patients who are seeking help with a wide range of concerns, from the challenges of severe mental illness to navigating the complexities of everyday life. He works closely with other members of the Arroyos treatment team to provide the highest quality of personalized, integrated, professional clinical care to our patients.
